Where we work

RSK operates across the entire Middle East region, with specific current operational focus in the United Arab Emirates, the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and federal Iraq.

RSK Environment LLC, RSK Group Limited’s Middle East regional office, was established in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates (UAE), in 2007. In 2017, we increased our footprint and opened a branch office in Dubai. Our expert consultants and back-office project and business support teams have both local and international experience and a practical overall understanding of the challenges facing companies working in the region. Our teams provide cost-effective and sustainable solutions across the country. Our key clients come from the oil and gas, energy, infrastructure, construction and commercial sectors.

RSK has established relationships with environmental regulators across the UAE and is a registered environmental consultant with the Environment Agency – Abu Dhabi (Class A); Abu Dhabi National Oil Company; Dubai Municipality – Environment Department; and Abu Dhabi Department of Energy. Our global experience and local network enables us to meet our clients’ expectations and to have strong working relationships with both local stakeholders and regulators. It is through our local and regional knowledge, experience and existing relationships that we are able to deliver projects to the highest standard.

We have been operating in Iraq since 2010, with a formal established branch office and an extensive operational base in Al Majal Business Park, near Basra, since 2012, where we have steadily grown and now employ more than 110 people, including more than 100 local national Iraqis. Our work is mainly helping international oil companies with all their environmental obligations, through environmental consulting and engineering services, complemented by implementation of technical solutions, including specialist contracting services. We were very proud to receive the accolade of The Queen’s Award for Enterprise – International Trade 2016, which made specific mention of our work aiding the rebuilding of Iraq .

Iraq registration
We have a formal Iraq branch registration and a fully established environmental, health and safety, geotechnical and geoenvironmental, engineering and technical services business in southern Iraq. Our Iraq branch is supported by our wide-ranging specialist plant and scientific equipment, including an Iraq Quality Accreditation Service (IQAS)-accredited laboratory, which holds ISO/IEC 17025 accreditation. We have held a registration with the Iraq Ministry of Environment (MoEn) since September 2017, including a formal environment bureau licence for environmental consultation and impact assessments. We extended the MoEn approval by the award of a specific laboratory licence. In addition, we hold a MoEn hazardous waste transportation licence and a MoEn waste treatment licence that extends to nine specialist waste treatment technologies.

We are strongly committed to the development of our environmental and technical services in the kingdom through our new business entity, RSK Environmental Consulting Company, registered in Riyadh and with facilities in Tabuk city and province. We have more than 20 environmental specialist and subject matter expert staff supporting NEOM, providing a broad range of terrestrial and marine environmental services, health, safety and environment (HSE) studies and regulatory strategies through established framework contracts with, for example, NEOM, the Royal Commission for AlUla, Red Sea Global and AMAALA.
