Our recent staff meeting was more than just a business update

The event was an opportunity for employees from different offices and home-based employees to come together for the company’s annual gathering. The agenda covered key business updates and served as an important platform to share the company’s vision and strategy.

The focus of the meeting was to provide an overview of the company’s performance and upcoming objectives. Updates were shared by several departments, including technical team leaders, accounts, HR, marketing, tendering and health and safety. Notably, the discussions highlighted the continued expansion of the company’s presence in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (KSA) and the management transitions in Iraq. Employees were also reminded of the company’s Vision 2030 strategy, ensuring everyone is on the same page regarding the long-term direction of the business. This meeting provided a valuable sense of how rapidly the business is growing and the positive exposure it continues to receive.

Following the formal business discussions, the day transitioned into a more light-hearted and interactive segment with a team-building activity designed to encourage learning, collaboration and fun. Employees were randomly placed into groups, encouraging interaction between individuals from various offices and those who are home-based, who might not regularly work together.

There was a variety of activities, from solving problems to creating art and videos and participating in mini-games. These tasks pushed employees out of their comfort zones and helped build stronger connections. The spirit of teamwork was evident as everyone cheered each other on and collaborated with enthusiasm. The day allowed engagement in ways that are not typically possible during the workday, fostering new relationships and strengthening existing ones. This perfectly aligned with the theme of the day, #StrongerTogether, as employees demonstrated this spirit throughout the event, which was inspiring to witness.

Creating a deeper sense of unity

A key highlight of the day was the presence of colleagues from different locations, which added a rich layer of diversity to the experience. As the company has rapidly grown, these opportunities to bring everyone together are increasingly important. Those who usually work apart were able to interact and share ideas, creating a deeper sense of unity across the organisation. Overall, the team-building activity, designed to enhance adaptability and collaboration, offered employees the chance to work through challenges together while having fun in the process.

As the event came to a close, one of the most memorable moments was the group photo. Although a simple gesture, it symbolised the unity and growth of the company. As everyone stood together, this captured the progress that has been made and the diverse, talented team driving the business forward.

In summary, the annual staff meeting and team-building event were a perfect blend of business updates, collaboration and enjoyment. The day provided employees with a clear understanding of the company’s progress while offering a unique opportunity to connect with colleagues in a fun and relaxed setting. As the company continues to grow, these moments of shared experience and teamwork will be integral to maintaining the strong culture that has been built over the years.
